The Story of Marshwood Little Hawks Wrestling:
A Community Effort to Bring Back Youth Wrestling Amidst Covid

In September 2022, Abel Schultze and several key leaders in the wrestling community engaged in a lengthy discussion about the future of their youth wrestling program, which had been adversely affected by the Covid pandemic. They were determined to revive the program and bring it back to its former glory. They knew that the best way to accomplish this was to enlist the help of passionate individuals who shared their belief in the sport of wrestling and its potential to positively impact young athletes. Abel's wife, Angela Schultze, was one such person. Thus, Marshwood Little Hawks Wrestling was officially established, and the community rallied behind them. Every year, the program grows stronger, learning from past mistakes and cherishing the unforgettable moments that come with being part of a close-knit community.
