The Power of Community: Marshwood Little Hawks Wrestling
Building champions, on and off the mat, requires a community effort. Thanks to the dedication of volunteer coaches, board members, and sponsorship partners, Marshwood Little Hawks Wrestling provides affordable wrestling instruction to families all across Maine. Corporate Sponsorships and individual donations help cover costs such as team uniforms, tournament fees, and the "Wrestler of the Week" W.O.W. program, which recognizes kids who demonstrate exemplary behavior in school, at home, in the community, and during wrestling events. Additionally, their contributions make it possible for the Hawks to maintain their tradition of never turning away a child who wishes to wrestle due to financial constraints. Through team-building experiences off the mat, the Hawks continue to foster a sense of camaraderie that is essential for success in wrestling and beyond.
PLATINUM LEVEL-$1500 +
Cue the drumroll and trumpets for our PLATINUM sponsors, folks!. They've been a game-changer in our program's success by providing essential resources to our wrestlers. With their help, we can give our athletes the chance to shine on the mat without any financial hurdles. We want every wrestler to feel the thrill of victory, but with tournament costs ranging from $30 to $65 per event and 90-100 team members, that's a whopping $2700 minimum per event! Our mission is to level the playing field, so every wrestler has an equal chance to compete, without parents feeling the pinch.
GOLD LEVEL-$1000
Our GOLD sponsors are like the cherry on top of a sundae for our wrestlers! Wrestling is no joke, it's like running a marathon while fighting a sumo wrestler. But our young champs are up for the challenge! They come to practice, give it their all, and then dig a little deeper to do it again. As they push themselves, they gain confidence, build self-esteem, and learn to respect their coaches, teammates, and themselves.
But all that hard work deserves a break! We want our wrestlers to bond and have some serious fun off the mat too. That's why we plan at least one epic event where they can let loose, make new buds, or even become closer to their teammates. It's all in the name of building up our future champions!
